Adrian Diery completed a Bachelors of Microelectronic Engineering, earning the IEEAust branch medal, before undertaking and completing his Ph.D. in biomedical signal processing with SABEL (then the Centre for Wireless Monitoring Applications) and Hearts 1st Cardiology Clinic in 2009. Combining his knowledge of audio signal processing and musical background, Adrian also produces and performs music and film scores. His film music has gained recognition internationally and he has received several nominations and awards. In 2012 he was a finalist in the inaugural Zurich International Film Music Competition.He regularly performs and records with his musical ensemble, ‘hazards of swimming naked’ with whom he has written and produced original recordings, and performed live accompaniments for film at venues including the Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane.He maintains active interests in music composition, audio production, signal processing and acoustics.
