James Novak describes himself as a mixed bag with a broad range of professional and academic design skills. His research focus is on Additive Manufacturing and Ubiquitous Computing. In 2015 he won the Dick Aubin Distinguished Paper Award at RAPID and is focusing on the changing role of the Industrial Designer through Ubiquitous Computing, Wearable Technologies and a mix of associated technologies. James also teaches a range of courses within the Industrial Design and 3D Design degrees at Griffith University, and run a large number of workshops for high school students, teachers and anyone curious about digital manufacturing.
